Welcome to my blog: here's the most bloggiest blogpost ever....it's a blog about blogging.

A good friend of mine has told me multiple times that I should start a blog. I always thought I'd have nothing to write about, but I'm starting to realize I have a whole lot of opinions and thoughts, and that people do read this stuff. It's kinda cool, but also interesting, because you don't know if you will get any feedback, or if people care what you have to say.

I tried starting a blog with my cool older brother on the first of the year. It was going to be a blog of personal music reviews, and we were going to review a bunch of albums song-by-song. Of course, life got really involved and it never happened. So I trashed that idea, for now.

Anyways, I realize that a blog is more of a place to just talk out loud without being interrupted. When I got a formspring account a few weeks ago (which I throughly enjoy, most times), I got an anonymous question; "What do you think of high school relationships?". I ended up responding with an essay-like response*, detailing my thoughts on my generation's version of love, and what I think it SHOULD be. (I was told by several friends that it was very good. So, since I enjoyed writing it so much, I made this blog.

You know, I find lately that I enjoy these extended writing sessions. I wrote the "love essay", and today I've written a support letter for a missions trip* I'm taking this summer, and this blogpost without seeing it as work. I guess my newfound openness I've had since Flower City Work Camp last week* is getting to me. In a good way though.

As I contemplate, I find that this blog can be like an "extended status update". I can go from my Facebook/Twitter status reading, "I made a blog, and it is really cool.", to this; a thorough expression my thoughts. Sometimes, you just want people to know exactly where you stand on something, and just express yourself. I'm sort of excited now that people will be reading this soon!

I hope this isn't too long of a post for any of you, (and to my non-reading friends, I still love you). I also wonder if making more than one post a day is too much, because there is so much on my mind (as you can probably tell). I already have a big list of things I think I'd like to blog about.
